Touchdown Chili

Ingredients

    1.5 pound x-lean ground beef (85/15)
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    6 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1.5 tsp cumin
    1.5 tsp dried basil
    4oz can diced green chiles
    28 oz can diced tomatoes with juice
    20 oz V8 juice
    12 oz can or bottle beer
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tbsp buffalo wing sauce
    16 oz can Bush's Baked Beans
    16 oz can Bush's Chili Beans

Tips

Our family enjoys adding corn chips and cheddar cheese to our individual bowls of chili.

Directions

Using a 6 quart soup pot -
Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic.
Add in chili powder, cumin and dried basil
Cook and stir to coat the meat and toast spices a little.
Add diced green chilies and tomatoes.
Add V8 Juice and beer.
Mix in brown sugar, buffalo wing sauce.
Add Bush's Baked and Chili Beans
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 hours.
