Introduction

These are quick and easy for a special occassion or just for when you are bbq'ing and want a little burger instead of a huge bun! They are whole wheat , with ground flax added. Also great with homemade soup Kids love these! These can be frozen too! Ingredients

    1 tsp Granulated sugar
    11ml / 8 g Quick rise Fleischmann's Instant Yeast
    1 cup Flour ( all purpose)
    1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    3 tsp Ground Flax seed

    1/4 cup very warm water ( 120F /50 - 55 C )
    1 cup skim milk ( fat free)
    2 tbsp Canola oil
    3 tbsp granulated sugar
    1 tsp salt

    1 Large egg

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in bowl ( Kitchen aid bowl if using mixer) with dough hook attatchment.
In a microwave safe glass measuring jug combine the rest of the ingredients except for the egg.Heat gently and then beat in the egg. add to dry ingredients and mix to form dough that is soft , not sticky , knead in kitchen aid for 5 min until smooth.Dough should clean sides of bowl. add additional flour if too sticky. If doing by hand knead till smooth, about 10 min.

Let dough rest in sprayed bowl covered with plastic wrap - 10 min
Divide dough into 12 pc's , shape as desired, either in rounds or in knots and place in sprayed muffin tins to rise until doubled in size covered with sprayed plastic wrap, about 45 min ( depending on how warm your kitchen is)
Bake at 180 C /350 F for 20 min until golden, turn out on cooling rack!
