Mizzaj's turkey chili

Number of Servings: 30

Ingredients

    6 cups chopped onions
    4 cups chopped peppers
    3 pounds ground turkey
    3 - 27 oz cans kidney beens(dark)
    4- 29 oz cans tomato sauce
    1Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    1.5 Tablespoon black pepper
    2 Tablespoon chili powder
    1Tablespoon Garlic powder
    1 Tablespoon Splenda(optional)



Directions

1. In a large skillet saute onions & peppers in olivie oil until tender. Place in large cooking/stock pot.

2.Brown ground turkey until crumbly. Add to cooking pot.

3. Add kidney beans & tomato sauce and turn heat on low

4. Add black pepper, chili powder & garllic powder & stir well

5.Add Splenda if you want. It helps get rid of the "tinny" taste from the cans.

6. Cook on low for about 15-20 minutes stirring often.

Ready to eat but taste better if you let it sit overnite.

Makes 30- 1 cup servings

Freezes beautifully

Great over brown rice!

Add some Krraft Free shredded cheddar cheese for a treat.
