Sour Cream Chicken

Introduction

Delicious chicken with a tangy cream sauce. perfect when short on time. Delicious chicken with a tangy cream sauce. perfect when short on time.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 - 4oz chicken breasts
    2 tbs olive oil
    .5 fl oz white wine
    1/2 can of cream of mushroom soup
    3 tbs sour cream
    2 tbs of italian dressing
    1 oz mozzerella cheese
    1.5 cups fresh mushrooms
    1 cup Onion
    4 cups white rice
    italian seasoning
    garlic powder

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Rinse 4-4oz chicken breasts and cut away extra fat and skin. place in a 9x13 pan, side by side.
3. Pour Italian dressing over the top of the breasts and sprinkle with italian seasoning.
4. Drizzle olive oil over breasts.
5. In a separate bowl, combine white wine and cream of mushroom soup. Pour around
breasts in the pan.
6. Make at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until chicken is done and juices run clear.
7. In a frying pan on the stove, place onion and mushrooms on medium/high and saute until cooked. Season with garlic powder and italian seasoning.
8. Once chicken is done, sprinkle the top of each breast with a little bit of mozzerella cheese. Stir sour cream into the juice in the pan. Place back into the oven and broil for a few minutes until cheese is melted and browned.
9. Serve on a bed of rice (1 cup) brown rice is really good with it too. Place the chicken breast on top of the rice, the mushrooms and onions on top of the chicken breast and pour a small amount of the sauce over the top. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.
