Ingredients

    1 cup chick peas; 1/4 cup split mung beans; 1 tbsp tamarind pulp; 1 finely chopped onion, 1 finely chopped tomato; salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder to taste; 1 tbsp chole masala (found in any Indian store)

Directions

Soak the chick peas overnight. Next morning drain the water, wash once and pressure cook with 1 cup water, 1 bay leaf and the mung beans in the olive oil and then add ground giner and garlic. Next add in the chopped tomatoes and simmer till the gravy attains a thick consistancy. Next add the pressure cooked beans and the tamarind pulp. Put in salt, chilli powder and turmeric to taste. Add in the Chole masala and simmer till done.
