Slow Cooker Beef Broth

Introduction

Use any amount of veggies to suit and any variation of broth mix. This is made with what i had in the cupboard literally. Use any amount of veggies to suit and any variation of broth mix. This is made with what i had in the cupboard literally.

Ingredients

    200g carrots
    250g dry broth mix (lentils, split peas, pearl barley)
    100g onion
    80g parsnips
    450 g potatoes
    250 g turnip
    2 pts water
    1 beef oxo
    300 g minced beef (cooked and fat removed)
    2 tbsp gravy thickener optional (bisto)

Directions

cook and drain beef mince.

Add mince to all prepared veggies, water and stock. Cook on low heat for several hours, thickening towards the end of cooking time if required.
