Introduction

Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    Lentils, 1 cup
    Onions, raw, 1 large, chopped fine
    Olive Oil, 3 tbsp
    *Cumin seed, 1 tbsp
    Garlic powder 0.5 tsp, or fresh chopped, 1 tbsp.
    *Balsamic Vinegar, 2 tbsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Heinz, One Carb Reduced Tomato Ketchup, 5 Tbsp,
    Cilantro, raw, 3 tbsp

Directions

Boil the lentils in 2 cups of water and 1 tsp salt, until soft. Fry the chopped onion in the olive oil, until light brown. Add the fresh chopped garlic/garlic powder, and fry for another minute. Add the cooked lentils, tomato ketchup and cilantro, and cook until well done. You may add a little water or stock if desired. This may be had wih hot boiled rice, bread or even used as a filling
in tacos. Leftovers taste better the next day.
