Mexican Casserole

This is a lighter version of a dish my grandma used to make. Her's called for ground beef but I substitute ground turkey. This is a lighter version of a dish my grandma used to make. Her's called for ground beef but I substitute ground turkey.Number of Servings: 10
Ingredients

2 lbs. ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1tsp black pepper
2 cans low fat cream of mushroom soup
1 cup skim milk
1 packet taco seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
6 low carb, whole wheat tortillas (cut into bite size pieces)
2 cups shredded cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown turkey, onion, and pepper in large skillet. Drain off any fat. In a bowl mix together soup, milk, taco seasoning, and garlic powder. Add soup mixture to meat. Heat through.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish w/ nonstick spray. Layer the tortilla pieces in a single layer. Layer half the meat mixture onto tortillas. Sprinkle half the cheese on top of meat. Repeat layers. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
