Apple Chops

Introduction

I found this recipe in a Men's Health magazine but omitted half the oil and bourbon. I found this recipe in a Men's Health magazine but omitted half the oil and bourbon.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1 tsp olive oil
    1 clove of garlic, minced
    2 - 3 oz. bonless pork chops
    2 cups of peeled and diced apples
    1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    2 tsp grainy mustard (Grey Poupon)

Directions

Combine oil and garlic over med-high heat. Place the pork chops in the center of the skillet. Toss the apples with the vinegar and then place in the skillet between the cops and the edge of the pan. Cook for 6 minutes, turning pork once and the apples a few times. When ready to serve, top the pork chops with mustard. Makes 2 servings (1 chop and 1 cup of diced apples).

  • Cook time will vary based on heat and thickness of chops. I had to cook mine for 10 minutes. I definitely suggest making a pan sauce to get all the yummy stuff stuck to the pan. - 4/29/08
