Amazing Granola Bars

Introduction

substitute the cranberries, peanuts, and coconut for anything you like! substitute the cranberries, peanuts, and coconut for anything you like!
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 cup light brown sugar
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1/2 light butter, melted (Blue Bonnet Light)
    2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
    2 tsp vanilla
    3 cups quick-cooking oats, dry
    1 cup original or cherry flavored Craisins
    1 cup honey roasted peanuts
    1/2 sweetened flake coconut (optional)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients; stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Add the fruits and nuts or other ingredients you like, as long as the mixture is sticking together in large clumps.

With fingers, press the mixture into the baking pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely and cut into bars.
I reccomend cutting once down the middle long ways, then at least 8 more down each side.

Makes appr. 16- 2 1/2" bars.
