Introduction

This recipe is delicious and easy! This recipe is delicious and easy!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    6 Pork chops, trimmed of fat
    3 or 4 sweet potatoes, cubed or 1 can sweet potatoes
    1 can whole cranberry sauce
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Season pork chops to taste. Layer pork chops and cranberries in slow cooker. Cook on high 4 hours or low 6-8 hours. If you use fresh sweet potatoes, add on top of slow cooker at start of cooking time. If you use canned sweet potatoes, add at last hour of cooking. Makes approx. 6 servings

    This was SO easy to make and So delicious!! The pork chops were tender and the sweet potatoes amazing! I will definitely make this again. And the leftovers were great too. - 11/9/09

    This recipe is awesome!! We added two chopped up cameo apples to the sweet potatoes. Sprinkled one packet of splenda and a little cinnamon on top. YUMMMYYYY Moistest chops ever. Thanks mom - 3/31/10

    This was EASY and AWESOME!!! My daughter doesnt eat sweet potatoes OR pork and she devoured this meal! I used 1 1/2 cups of whole cranberries...MOIST!!!! - 10/27/10

    Very yummy! I added some brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg on the sweet potatoes, and they were perfect! The meat was a bit dry, next time I will cook on low for 8 hours, and it should take care of that minor problem! All in all, a great recipe! - 5/24/10

    I must've done something wrong. I followed the directions to the letter and it turned out very watery. The meat is delicious, very tender, and the sweet potatoes are good, but the cranberry flavor got lost in all of the juice. Next time I'll try it in the oven and see if it works better. - 2/10/11

    I followed the directions and cooked this on low for 7 hours. The sweet potatoes were great, but the pork chops were way overcooked and dried out by then. The meat was inedible. This might have been delicious if it were cooked a few hours less. - 2/14/10

    I'm sorry! I have an older model of slow cooker. If yours is newer you may have to cook it low for less time.

    My dad does not like pork chops and I don't like sweet potatoes but we tried it anyway...this was DELICIOUS! I spiced the pork w/ thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper. I coated the sweet potatoes in a little brown sugar and cinnamon...it was fantastic! Will def. make again! - 12/11/11

  • Did this and added a sliced apple on top while cooking. Nice and sweet, came out with the pork falling apart and all mixed together. The sweet potatoes do give it a bit of an odd orange color, but the taste more than makes up for it! :) - 3/9/13

    :( I wanted to like this and was so excited... but it was just strange tasting mush. The whole meal got tossed out because no one in my family would eat it. It needs something. there is no zing, there's not even any cranberry flavor to the pork chops. It's just... strange. - 8/5/11

    I used thick cut boneless porkchops,used jellied cranberry sauce and peeled & sliced 2 granny smith apples to layer with the porkchops. I sprinkled 1 1/2 Tb brown sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon over fresh sweet potatoes and it was all done in 3 1/2 hrs on high! Quick & tasty meal! I was impressed! - 4/5/11

  • My husband loved this recipe. I'm not crazy about pork, but I liked this a lot, too. The pork gets very tender. I added some dried rosemary&sage to the pork, cinnamon&nutmeg to the sweet potatoes (I used fresh). Everything came out tasty, and it still tasted great as leftovers later in the week - 5/21/10
