Rustic Chicken Crockpot

Ingredients

    1 to 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast tenders, or boneless chicken breasts cut in 1-inch strips
    1 tablespoon real bacon bits
    1 can diced tomatoes (15oz), drained
    1 can artichoke hearts, quartered (15oz)
    1 can sliced mushrooms (4oz), or 8 ounces fresh sliced
    1 packet dry chicken gravy mix (about 1 oz)
    1/4 cup red wine (if desired)
    2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Makes 4 servings

Combine all ingredients in a 3 1/2-quart or larger slow cooker; stir to combine. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Serve over pasta or rice.

    Warning! As good as this may B, Please cook on high during the first 30 or 45 mins. in the crock pot. It spreads the perfect environment for bacteria if you only use low setting. Do it 4 health reasons. God bless. - 10/27/09

  • Looks very tasty, and something my husband would like with the bacon! Also, considering it's just two of us, I'm sure we'd be able to cut the calories in half by making this give 8 servings! :) - 8/19/09
