Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 cup cubed ham
1 cup low fat, shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbs. onion powder (feel free to use 1/2 cup chopped onion instead - onions are a dirty word in my house, so I have to be sneaky :)!)
1 2oz. can sliced black olives, drained
    2 oz. chopped green chiles
4 oz. V8 vegetable juice or low sodium tomato juice
    1 tbs. lemon juice
6 whole wheat hard rolls, halved and insides scooped out

Mix all ingredients and fill rolls with ham and cheese mixture. Replace tops on rolls, wrap individually in foil, and bake for one hour at 275*. To take on a picnic, wrap each sandwich in newspaper and cover all with a heavy towel. Carry in an insulated container like a pop cooler. Enjoy!
