L.R. very chocolate brownies

Introduction

These are so fudgy and delicious. You can make them without the topping for fewer calories and they would still be very good, but try them at least once with the topping for a special treat! Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    3/4 cup butter
    1 3/4 cup sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    Topping:
    3/4 cup sevisweet chocolate chips
    3 T. water
    3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, Whipped

Directions

Melt butter; stir in cocoa powder. Add sugar; mix well. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Stir inthe walnuts. Pour into a greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until done. Do not overbake. Cool completely on wire rack.
For Topping:
Melt chocolate chips and water in microwave or double boiler; stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature. With beaters on, add to whipped cream. Beat just until well mixed. Spread over brownies. Chill for several hours before cutting. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 24 brownies.
