If I were to make this recipe again, I would definitely add additional seasonings to the filling. I did add garlic salt and onion powder, but unfortunately, it was not enough to make this dish as flavorful as I had hoped. - 3/11/10

Just one note - I had to nearly double the filling to stuff 18 shells so perhaps the calories may be a little off. I also subsituted skim ricotta for half of the cottage cheese and it was delicious. - 12/14/09

  • This was GREAT!! Doubled the recipe and put half in the freezer. I didn't put any extra seasoning in the filling and thought it was delicious, but I may try some next time... - 12/14/12

  • My family devoured this! I will definitely make this again and layer it with lasagna noodles rather than stuff in the shells to make it quicker. I also had to double the filling ingredients to fill all the shells. Oh and I added about 4 cloves of fresh garlic and a tbs of Italian seasoning. - 7/8/12

  • I make mine the same way, but I add 1 Tbsp. of Italian seasoning to the cheese mix and a bit of garlic powder to the sauce as well, I think it gives it a bit more flavor. - 4/25/12

  • This one will make it into the "rotation". Whenever the kids approve this highly, then it gets made often! =) I used a garlic and herb pasta sauce, and it was a little too garlic-y for my taste, so will try a traditional sauce next time. And I will double the recipe next time and freeze some. - 7/25/11

  • This was great! Added garlic, oregano, and parsley which added some great flavor. This makes an easy hiding spot for a serving of veggies. My husband said I should make it again sometime :) Yummy! - 7/1/11
