Lo Mein Sauce

Introduction

Delicious over the traditional noodles, but I like it over rice, too! Makes about 1 cup, 1/4 cup per serving. Delicious over the traditional noodles, but I like it over rice, too! Makes about 1 cup, 1/4 cup per serving.

Ingredients

    2/3 cup vegetable broth
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1 tbsp corn starch
    1 tbsp rice vinegar
    Siracha sauce to taste
    1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
    1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

Whisk the cornstarch, broth, soy sauce, vinegar, Siracha, red pepper flakes and black pepper until well blended.

  • I hope somebody is still around to answer, but what is "Siracha sauce"? Trying to find a sauce to make but most use a seafood-like sauce and my stomach doesn't like seafood/fishy stuff :( - 4/15/12
