Berry-Yogurt Parfait

Introduction

As yummy as the yogurt parfait at Starbucks, but fewer calories! A healthy treat. As yummy as the yogurt parfait at Starbucks, but fewer calories! A healthy treat.

Ingredients

    1 cup light vanilla yogurt

    (note: nutrition info for light/nonfat vanilla yogurt varies a lot depending on the sweetners used; I really like Lucerne brand - found at Vons/Safeway - 110 cal/cup)

    1/2 cup frozen blueberries

    several fresh strawberries, sliced

Directions

Layer yogurt, blueberries, and strawberries in a bowl or gladware container. Leave in fridge overnight, and enjoy in the morning. (If eaten sooner, the blueberries will still be a bit frozen - different taste/texture, still yummy).

Makes 1 large serving, or two 1/2 cup servings as snacks. (Info calculated as 1 serving).
