Ingredients

    1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
    5.5 T margarine
    2/3 c all purpose flour
    1/3 c sugar
    3/4 t cinnamon
    1/4 t ground nutmeg
    3/4 c molasses
    3/4 c water
    1/2 t baking soda

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9 in pie pan with nonstick spray. Mix graham crackers and 2.5 T of the margarine. Transfer the crumbs to the pie pan and press firmly over the bottom and up the sides. Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer to rack to cool. Increase the oven temp to 450.

To make the topping, combine the remaining 3 T margarine, the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Mix until the mixture is crumbly.

Stir together the molasses, water, and baking soda in a bowl. Pour the molasses mixture into the prepared crust and sprinkle on the topping. Bake for 15 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temp to 375 and bake the pie until the filling is set, about 40 minutes more. Allow to cool on a rack.
