Introduction

this is dominican moro...its a rice and bean dish very typical for everyday dinners. this is dominican moro...its a rice and bean dish very typical for everyday dinners.
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    3 cups raw white rice (long grain)
    2 tbsp raw cilantro(chopped)
    1 small onion (chopped)
    1 clove garlic (minced)
    1/4 cup tomato paste
    3 tbsp sofrito sauce
    3 cups chicken broth
    1 can goya black beans (or red,pink,roman,pinto)




Directions

makes 9 1 1/2 cup servings

in a large pot (i use a caldero) add the oil, tomato paste, onion, garlic, sofrito sauce, and cilantro, when the mix starts to stick a little, add the can of beans ,add the broth, bring to a slight boil. add the raw rice. when the liquid has dried up enough that you can stand a spoon up in it, lower the flame to med-low(if you have a caldero) or low for other pots. cover tightly for 30 min. Stir the rice after the 30 min, and cover for another 10 min. Enjoy!
