Ingredients
-
1/2 lb Lean or Extra-Lean Ground Beef
1 can tomato soup
1 can green beans
1 cup instant mashed potatoes
1/2 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup shredded cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
While oven is heating, brown ground beef in pan. Add can of condensed tomato soup and can of green beans (I prefer french style, but either works) and let simmer.
Once the soup and beans are heated (5 to 10 minutes), make 1 cup of instant mashed potatoes, adding 1/2 cup of milk while mixing. Don't add butter or margarine.
Add beef mix into casserole pan and even out. Add mashed potatoes on top, covering evenly. Add cheese to top of mashed potatoes.
Bake in oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is thoroughly melted.
Makes 4 servings. Two good sized servings. Easy to add or substitute other veggies as well.
