1/2 cup reduced or low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp. ground mustard
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. garlic powder (or fresh equivalent)
12 oz. boneless beef sirloin steak, divided into 4 pieces
Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 5-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (check with thermometer; 145 degrees for medium-rare, 160 medium, or 170 well done).
Steak can also be broiled.
