Introduction

Simmer these yummy beans all day in your slow cooker and they're ready to serve with cornbread for dinner! Simmer these yummy beans all day in your slow cooker and they're ready to serve with cornbread for dinner!
Number of Servings: 14

Ingredients

    3 cups dry pinto beans, rinsed
    4 cups chicken broth
    5 cups water
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 tsp salt
    2 tsp pepper
    1/2 tsp cumin

Directions

Mix all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours.

Makes 14 1/2 cup servings.

***If you want less sodium, feel free to use low sodium chicken broth and/or leave out the salt.

***Also, if you want thicker beans: pour off broth, mash beans, add desired amount of broth back to slow cooker.
