Slow cooker pear & apple crumble

Introduction

This is a basic template for a crumble. Other fruits can be used instead. It is not that sweet. This is a basic template for a crumble. Other fruits can be used instead. It is not that sweet.

Ingredients

    2 pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
    2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon

    1/2/ cup white whole wheat flour
    1/2 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
    1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
    1/4 cup brown sugar (additional)
    1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions

Put pears, apples, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon into small round crock pot bowl. Toss with hands to coat. Turn crock to high and cook for about half an hour.

Meanwhile mix the other ingredients together with your hands until the butter is fully incorporated. It should be able to clump together into a loose dough when it is ready.

Sprinkle the flour mixture over the fruit mixture and press down.

Cook another 2 hours or until fruit is bubbly.
