Great alternative to everday 'blah' serving of Green Bean's! Great alternative to everday 'blah' serving of Green Bean's!Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
Heat oil in a large, heavy skillet over Med. heat. Add the onion & garlic, & saute' a minute or two.
Drain the beans if using canned! Frozen just add to the skillet, stirring to coat. (I have used a broiler pan 'without the grates on Broiler setting with good results too.) Saute' if using skillet for 6-8 min. Add oil if the skillet starts to get dry!
Stir in the tomatoes, broth & wine. turn up the heat to Med. High. Let everything simmer till the beans are just tender-crip & most of liquid has cooked off (about 5 min.)
* If using Broiler method, keep oiled if begins to smoke! Shorter cooking time is used in this process!
Directions
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, finely minced
1 clv. garlic, crushed
1 lb. if using Frozen, 4 cups or cans if these are used. Be sure to drain liquid!
1/2 c. diced, canned tomatoes
1/4 c. beef broth or bouillon
1/4 c. dry white wine
