Swiss Steak

Ingredients

    Cube steak, 71 oz (4.5 lbs)
    *Hunt's Tomato Sauce, no salt added, 2 cup
    Hunts tomato sauce (basil, garlic, oregano) 3 cup
    Petit cut tomatoes (14.5 oz can)
    Onions, raw, 2 large
    Mushrooms, fresh, 3 cup, pieces or slices

    The tomato sauce was tricky, I used a whole can of western family, and the calorie content was a bit off from the hunts variety. That is why it says 1.6 servings but is actually 1 can.

Directions

Brown steaks
Sautee onions and mushrooms in steak drippings
Put tomato sauce in crock pot, adding water if desired (but not much) and add in steaks, mushrooms and onions.
Set crockpot to either low or medium and cook for 5-6 hrs (which is 300 minutes!).

Makes 8 servings of about 2 steaks each.
