These are the best tacos you will ever eat. It was passed down to my mother from her grandmother, and now I make them. These are the best tacos you will ever eat. It was passed down to my mother from her grandmother, and now I make them.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

Ground Beef 93% Lean, 1 pound
    Tomato Sauce, 1 can
Dark Red Kidney beans, 1 can (half-drained)
    Garlic powder, to taste
    Onion powder to taste
    Black Pepper, to taste
Chili Powder, dash for some kick
    Corn Tortillas, (approx 6" dia)
    Canola Oil
    Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Taco toppings (olives, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, whatever you like)

Directions

First brown the beef with a little pepper on it for some flavor. After it is browned, drain it and put it in a pot. Add the tomato sauce, kidney beans, and seasoning. Cook on high, stirring occasionally. Once it has boiled for about 10 minutes, taste it and adjust spices accordingly. Turn down heat and let simmer. The taco meat should be somewhat watery.

While the meat is simmering, fry the taco shells. Put some Canola Oil in a pan, and put stove on medium high. Once the oil is hot, fry the taco shell on one side, then fold in half. Cook for about 30 seconds each side. (If the shell turns brown, or cooks too fast that means the oil is too hot.) After cooking the shells, make your taco, adding toppings to your liking.

Taco meat makes approx. 20 3-ounce tacos. (Leftover meat is good for nachos and burritos, too!)
