Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

    3 Medium carrots
    1.5 Tbsp margarine
    1.5 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions

Cook carrots covered in small amounts of boiling water about 6-10 minutes or until tender. Drain.
In a skillet melt fat and add brown sugar. Stir until melted. Add the cooked carrots and cook slowly, stirring until the carrots are well glazed. Season.

    Yes! I have been looking through the recipes to find the one I make. most have far too much brown sugar for my tastes. I don't cook the carrots in water first, I cut them into sticks (about 12 per large carrot) and put them with the marge and sugar on low heat, covered, for about 15 mins. - 11/11/08

  • Couldn't get enough but had to limit my self, reminded me of sweet potatoes at holliday time. If my mom made these when I was a kid I would have eaten my carrots cooked. - 1/12/12

    Made this tonight for dinner. My husband took one bite and spit it out. The kids and I each tried a small bite and let's just say no one ate them. I love carrots. I was really excited to try this recipe, but it didn't turn out to be one I will make again. :( - 9/12/11

  • I'm not a big fan of carrots, so I went out on a limb and tried them. That being said, they were edible for me. I was hoping the glaze would hide the carrot flavor, but it didn't. I gave it 4/5 because if I liked the vegetable, I would've really liked this dish. - 9/23/10

  • I made this the same way as Kukanna and added a little cinnamon and they were great! I doubled the recipe and got about 1 1/2 cups of carrots for my family of 3 though so I am glad I doubled it! I think we will cut back on the brown sugar a little more next time too. - 1/5/10
