Guilt-Free Brownies

Introduction

I got this recipe from a magazine...I don't recall which one. But I made up a batch and they were too fabulous not to share. I cooked for just under 15 minutes and they turned out soft and tasty. Ingredients

    4 tbs butter
    2/3 c granulated sugar
    1/2 c cold water
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 c all-purpose flour
    1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/4 c mini semisweet chocolate pieces
    powdered sugar (for decoration)

Directions

makes 16 servings
Preheat oven to 350. Coat the bottom of a 9x9 inch pan with non-stick spray. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, then remove from heat. Stir in sugar, water, and vanilla. Mix in flour, cocoa powder and baking powder (will be thick) until combined. Add chocolate pieces. Spread into pan, bake for 15-18 minutes, then cool before sprinking with powdered sugar and cutting.
