IntroductionHome-made tortilla wrap recipe, no preservatives or additives. You can freeze the tortillas until you need them and defrost them in the microwave in about 5 seconds. Home-made tortilla wrap recipe, no preservatives or additives. You can freeze the tortillas until you need them and defrost them in the microwave in about 5 seconds.
2 cups wholewheat flour (preferably "white" wholewheat flour)
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp vegetable oil
2/3 cup warm water
Combine salt and flour. Add vegetable oil.
Mix in the water (hand mixing will be needed)
Cover and let rest for 20 minutes
Make into a ball of dough, divide into 12 smaller balls.
Cover and let rest for another 20 minutes
Preheat a skillet or griddle (DO NOT grease) to medium high heat
Roull out the dough balls into very thin tortillas about 6-8 inches in diameter or as far as they'll go.
Bake each side for 30seconds - 1 minutes.
Flip and bake the other side
You can roll out the other dough balls as the tortillas are cooking.
