Multi-Grain Raisin Squares

Introduction

Cereal and raisin bars with a light icing drizzle.
These are multi-grain and made with wheat flour,
Not to mention yummy!

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    Bars
    - 1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine (softened)
    - 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
    - 1/4 Cup White Sugar
    - 1 Egg
    - 1 tsp Vanilla extract
    - 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
    - 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    - 1 Cup Whole wheat flour
    - 2 1/2 Cups Multi-Grain Cheerios
    - 1 Cup Raisins
    Topping
    - 2/3 Cup Powdered Sugar
    - 3-4 Tbsp milk

    *Makes 24 1"x3" Squares*

    **Optional Substitutions
    -Add Cinnamon
    -Switch raisins for dried cherries, craisins or other dried fruit
    -Use Splenda sugar or Splenda brown sugar
    -1/2 Cup Applesauce for egg

Directions

-Grease a 9x13 baking pan. Set oven for 350 degrees F.
-Crush Cherrios. Set aside.
-Mix Flour, baking soda, baking powder. Set aside.
-Blend butter, brown sugar and white sugar.
-Add egg and vanilla. Blend well.
-Add flour mixture.
-Add crushed cereal and raisins.
-Spread in the baking pan adn cook for 15-20 min at 350 degrees F until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.
-Cool.
-Mix powdered sugar and milk, drizzle over bars.
