Introduction

An easy topping for pies and other treats when you are looking for something that tastes good but is totally vegan. An easy topping for pies and other treats when you are looking for something that tastes good but is totally vegan.

Ingredients

    1 pkg. (12 ounces or 340 grams) of firm tofu
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 cup maple syrup (grade 3 works fine in this one)

Directions

Makes enough topping to add to 10 pieces of pie. Recipe can be divided according to number of people you are serving and will last about 5 days in the fridge.

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and cream. Store covered in the fridge and enjoy as a topping on fresh fruit or pies. Your dairy loving friends won't notice the difference.
