Starbucks Frappucino Light

Introduction

Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1.25 cups double-strength French roast coffee, CHILLED
    .75 cup 1% milk
    2.5 Tbsp. sugar
    2.5 Tbsp. splenda
    2 cups ice


Directions

1. Make double strength french roast coffee by brewing with twice the grounds required by your coffee maker. That should be 2 Tbsp. of grounds per each cup of coffee. be sure to chill this before you use it in the drink or the ice will melt.

2. To make the drinks, combine all ingredients in a blender and belnd on high speed until the ice is crushed and drink is smooth.

Pour into two 16 oz. glasses.

Makes 2 "grande" drinks

  • Flavor was good, but the drink was too thin, not thick and rich. Next time I will add 1/2 banana to make more healthy and maybe something like pectin to make it thicker. (But it did save me $4.24 this morning--no Starbucks! :) - 5/26/09
