World's Best (and easiest) Salmon

Introduction
I usually go for the more complicated recipes, assuming that the more ingredients and preparation steps, the better. This recipe has changed the way I look at simplicity when it comes to cooking. Fancy spices be darned--this is the only way I'll cook salmon any more! I usually go for the more complicated recipes, assuming that the more ingredients and preparation steps, the better. This recipe has changed the way I look at simplicity when it comes to cooking. Fancy spices be darned--this is the only way I'll cook salmon any more!Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
1/4 cup pure maple syrup (NOT pancake syrup!) or honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2-3 cloves minced garlic
12 ounces fresh or thawed salmon
Directions
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a gallon-size ziploc bag, shake it up, and then add the salmon. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for an hour, turning after half an hour. Pour the salmon and the marinade into a baking dish and bake in a 350 degree oven, covered with foil, for 15 minutes. The salmon is done when it flakes easily at the thickest part. Enjoy! Makes (4) 3 ounce servings.

My little brother DOES NOT eat fish and he saw me eating this for lunch. Said it smelled good. I told him it had maple syrup, soy sauce and garlic in it... three things he likes. He actually TRIED the fish and thought it was good. Unbelievable. The recipe so tasty and satiates a sweet tooth too, lol - 5/29/10

I made this last night for dinner, used honey instead of maple syrup. It was great. Both my children loved it. One finished hers after work saying it was even better cold. I am thinking this would be awesome on a bed of mixed salad greens, using some of the cooked marinade turned sauce as a base. - 3/3/13
