Introduction

This is my first attempt at granola bars, recipe adapted from one I found on recipezaar.

A little crumbly but quite tasty, will keep working on it.

A little crumbly but quite tasty, will keep working on it.

Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    3 c rolled oats
    1 c raisins
    1/4 c sweetened coconut
    11/2 pumpkin pie spice
    2 tbsp dry milk
    2/3 c honey
    1/3 c water
    1/4 c peanut butter
    1 tbsp cocoa powder



Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
3. Heat peanut butter, water, honey, dry milk, cocoa powder and pumpkin pie spice in sauce pan over medium low heat until melted and combined. I used a small whisk. Let cool a little, then pour over the top of dry ingredients.
4. Grease (or use non-stick spray) on a 13x9 pan. Grease (or use non-stick spray) on hands.
5. Use your hands to mix the wet & dry ingredients thoroughly.
6. Bake 20-25 minutes until browned around the edges.
7. Remove from oven, let cool and slice into bars.

One serving = 38 grams.
