Portabello Pizzas

Submitted by: SARAH2119

Introduction

Great for low carb or low fat lifestyles. For those craving pizza try mushrooms instead of dough. This would be wonderful as a party appetizer or a pizza dinner substitute. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    16 Portabello Mushroom slices
    8 Basil Leaves
    16 slices of turkey pepperoni
1/4 cup Hunts Tomato Sauce either the basil, garlic oregano or the roasted garlic version, both have 3 carbs per serving
1/4 cup kraft fat free mozzarella cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Line a cookie pan with foil. Spread out mushroom slices, may combine the small thin ones to even out the portions but enough to make 16 little pizzas.

Tear the Basil Leaves in half and place on top of mushrooms. Spread sauce over the basil leaf and mushroom. Top with a turkey pepperoni (may have to split in half to fit better).

Put sheet into oven for 10min to cook the mushrooms a bit. Take out of oven and sprinkle each pizza with cheese. Bake for another 5min or just until the cheese melts.

Each serving is 4 little pizzas for an appetizer, may need to have more if eating for dinner.
