Ingredients

    olive oil
    140 grams salami, sliced
2 cloves of garlic, pealed and chopped
    1 tsp fennel seed
    1 bulb of fennel
    800 grams canned tomatoes
    optional: 1 dried chili pepper
    salt and pepper
    455 grams pasta, dry
    2 hands bread crumbs
    optional: one twig rosemary

Directions

Fry the salami and garlic in 1-2 tbsp olive oil. Bruise the fennel seed and add it to the salami. When the fat is cooked out of the salami and it gets a slight crust you can add the fennel. Cover the pot and wait for 5 minutes. Then add the tomatoes and, if you like, a crumbled dried chili pepper. Leave it boiling for about 25 minutes. Add salt and pepper to your own taste.

Boil the pasta following the directions on the package. In the mean while you can make pangritata, crispy bread crumbs. Bake the bread crumbs in 4-5 tbsp olive oil until they are crispy. If you like you can add a twig of rosemary when baking.
