Great Green Beans

Great Green Beans

Introduction

One of my favorite side dishes! One of my favorite side dishes!
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    4 cups fresh green beans
    2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
    1/4 cup sesame seeds
    1/4-1/3 cup soy sauce (reduced sodium)
    3 tbsp canola/olive oil

Directions

Cut off ends of green beans and place them in a vegetable steamer and steam until dark green (or you can blanche them in boiling water for no more than 5 minutes, just so they turn dark green). Place green beans into a large non-stick skillet along with canola (or olive) oil and garlic. Stir fry for about 10 minutes, or until beans are nice and tender. Pour the beans into a large mixing bowl and toss with sesame seeds and soy sauce. ENJOY!!

    umm, but i spent 2 summers picking nothing but green beans & i'm pretty sure that's not what's in the picture posted. those peas do look yummy though :) - 1/10/10
