100 Calorie Protein Bars

Introduction

great snack for in between meals or before/after a workout for an energy boost!

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1/2 c. Whole Wheat flour
    1/2 c. TVP
    1/2 c. Oat bran
    4 scoops/ounces vanilla or chocolate protein powder (used American Whey Vanilla for nutritional info)
    1/2 c. applesauce, unsweetened
    4 egg whites
    1/4 c. pure honey
    10 tbsp. natural peanut butter (used Maranatha organic peanut butter for nutritional info)
    2 tbsp. Hershey's Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup - *omit if using choc protein powder
    3 tbsp. dark chocolate chips

Directions

In med-large size bowl, combine dry ingredients and mix well w/whisk.
In separate small bowl, with whisk, mix wet ingredients until blended well.
Add wet mixture to dry and mix until well blended. Fold in chips.
Pour mixture into 13x9 baking dish sprayed well w/cooking spray (line w/parchment paper sprayed w/cooking spray if on hand).
Bake at 325 for 30-35 mins.
Cool completely, then cut into 24 squares.
Store in airtight container in cool dry place for up to week. Can freeze any extra.
