Grandma Duncan's Enriched White Bread

Introduction

My grandma would make bread and my mom would get us there just as it was coming out of the oven. She used this recipe to make her cinnamin rolls with as well. It all was so yummy. My grandma would make bread and my mom would get us there just as it was coming out of the oven. She used this recipe to make her cinnamin rolls with as well. It all was so yummy.
Number of Servings: 48

Ingredients

    7 c. bread flour
    1 T. yeast softened in 1/4 c. luke warm water
    2 1/2 c hot milk
    1 T salt
    3 T butter
    3 T sugar
    1 T salt

Directions

Place in mixing bowl milk, butter, sugar and salt. Mix 10 mins. After 10 mins. add enough flour to let it come clean around mixer. Let it raise until it comes out of mixer. Weigh in 1 1/2 lbs. and put into greased pans. Let it raise to about 1" above top of pans. Bake at 350* for 40 mins.

Note: Grandma used shortening instead of butter and she just used regular flour. I mix mine in the mixer and add the flour right when the other ingredients are mixed together.
