1 Tbls OLIVE OIL
6 cups GREEN BEANS
1/3 cup ONION, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup HOISIN SAUCE
2 Tbls SOY SAUCE
1 Tbls SESAME OIL, Dark (Asian)
1 Tbls WATER, more as needed
3 cloves GARLIC, minced
1 tsp FRESH GINGER, minced
1 tsp SUGAR
1/4 tsp RED PEPPER FLAKES
Toasted SESAME SEEDS, garnish
Meanwhile, in small bowl combine the remaining ingredients (except sesame seeds). Sauce should be a cake batter consistency.
Remove the beans from the heat. Add the sauce and stir until the beans are evenly coated.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
