When you're craving something creamy and sweet, this smoothie will suffice without the calories.

Remember, calories may vary depending on the brand of apple juice you use. To lower the calories as much as possible, opt for a no sugar added or fat free solution.

Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    3/4 c. low-fat vanilla yogurt
    *3/4 c. diced apple
    1/2 c. apple juice, made into ice cubes then crushed
    1/2 frozen banana, sliced
    Pinch of ground cardamom, cinnamon, or nutmeg.

    *Don['t peel the apple if you are looking for extra fiber in your diet.

Directions

Combine the yogurt and apple in a blender. Add all the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.

Makes about 2 cups
