Homemade Sloppy Joe's

Introduction

This is a old Weight Watchers recipe from 1988. Great for when I forget to buy sloppy joe sauce. This is a old Weight Watchers recipe from 1988. Great for when I forget to buy sloppy joe sauce.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 lb ground beef (90% lean)
    1 can diced tomatoes
    4 Tbsp (1/4 cup) ketchup
    2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
    2 tsp chili powder
    1/2 tsp powered mustard

Directions

1) Spray skillet with Pam and heat over medium high heat; add onion, pepper, and garlic and saute for 2 to 3 mins. Set aside in bowl.
2) Cook ground beef, drain and rinse.
3) Add back to pan ground beef, onions & pepper mix, tomatoes, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, chili powder and mustard; mixing well.
4) Reduce heat to low and cook stiring frequently, until mixture thickens and is heated through, about 8-10 mins.
