4 cups peeled, cubed turnips
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Splenda
1 Tbsp Smart Balance Light
2 Tbsp nonfat yogurt
several dashes black pepper
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the salt and Splenda. When the water is boiling add the turnips. Simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain well. Return the turnips to the hot pot. Add the butter, yogurt and pepper. Mash with a potato masher until thick and creamy, like mashed potatoes.
