Introduction

This chili tastes great served over rice with a little bit of cheese melted on top. This chili tastes great served over rice with a little bit of cheese melted on top.

Ingredients

    2 Tbsp pure vegetable oil, 1/8 tsp garlic powder or 1/2 clove garlic, 1 lb. ground beef, 2 cups cooked or canned kidney beans, 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp chili powder

Directions

Cook and stir garlic and meat in hot vegetable oil until meat loses red color. Stir in undrained beans, tomato sauce, and remaining ingredients. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until chili is desired thickness (approx. 45 minutes). Makes 4 servings.
