Introduction

My Granddaughters love chix strips. So to avoid fast food places and teach some nutrition I have come up with this. You can change and alter spices to your family. Whe the kids aren't around a lot more hot sauce is great! My Granddaughters love chix strips. So to avoid fast food places and teach some nutrition I have come up with this. You can change and alter spices to your family. Whe the kids aren't around a lot more hot sauce is great!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 T 1% milk
    1 T hot pepper sauce
    1 large egg
    1/2 T Thyme
    1 T Basil
    3/4 t Salt
    1/2 t pepper
    1 C bread crumbs
    1/2 C Parmesan cheese grated
    1 lb bonesless skinless breast chicken or strip
    Cooking Spray

Directions

Cut chicken into 1 1/2 inch strips. Combine dry ingredients and spices. Combine egg, milk and hot sauce. Dip chicken strips into egg mix and then coat in crumbs. Press lightly to make coating stick. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Turn strips after 10 minutes. Strip thickness varies and Ovens vary so make sure your juices run clear. 4 servings.
