Banana Smoothie

Introduction

A non-yogurt smoothie with no added sugar. Frozen banana takes the place of ice, so it's not watered down. Really yummy. A non-yogurt smoothie with no added sugar. Frozen banana takes the place of ice, so it's not watered down. Really yummy.

Ingredients

    1 medium banana, sliced and frozen.
    1 cup non-fat milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Directions

A few hours before you want this, slice a banana into 1/4" disks and freeze. (putting wax paper on the plate makes it much easier to pick up the banana slices.) The banana can stay in the freezer for two days or so without any ill effects.

To prepare, put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour and serve immediately. This makes about 2 servings.
