This is like Jif, but healthy! This is like Jif, but healthy!Number of Servings: 20
Ingredients
-
- 16 oz unsalted dry-roasted peanuts (1 lb)
- 4 tbsp peanut or canola oil
- 4 tbsp honey, golden syrup, or agave nectar
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of salt, to your preference
Directions
Place peanuts, half of the oil, the salt, and half of the sweetener in the blender. Grind until the mixture will no longer grind. Add remaining ingredients, then grind, stirring as necessary, until the mixture is smooth (about 5 minutes with a good blender). Spoon into individual 8-12 ounce jars and refrigerate. At this point, the butter will be soft, but it will harden in the refrigerator to a spreadable, but not runny, consistency. Makes approximately 20 fl. ounces of peanut butter.
