Introduction

This is an easy to throw together vegetarian chili w/ a "Wendy's" flare :) Makes a skillet full for a quick satisfying meal!!

This is an easy to throw together vegetarian chili w/ a "Wendy's" flare :) Makes a skillet full for a quick satisfying meal!!


Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 Tbsp light margarine, melted
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp dried whole basil
    1 tsp chili powder
    1/2 tsp dried whole oregano
    1/2 tsp dried whole thyme
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1 (16-oz) can whole tomatoes undrained & chopped
    1 (8 oz) can red kidney beans, undrained

Directions

Yield: 6 Servings

1. Saute' onion & garlic in margarine in a large saucepan until tender.
2. Add salt, basil, chili powder, oregano, thyme, & pepper, stirring well.
3. Stir in tomatoes & beans. Simmer, uncovered 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot.
