Magic Brownies

Submitted by: LYNNOTT

Introduction

I got this recipe from a newspaper article. I adjusted the size of the baking pan and baking minutes. Couldn't believe it but they're delicious! The cinnamon adds a special taste to it. Ingredients

1 15-oz. can black beans, unstrained
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 box low-fat or fat-free brownie mix

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (or the temperature specified on the brownie mix). In food processor or blender, puree black beans, including liquid, with cinnamon until smooth. (I drained some of the liquid off as it seemed there was a lot of liquid.)

Transfer to mixing bowl, and combine with brownie mix. Stir by hand until shiny and mostly lump-free. Pour batter into a greased 11x7 baking pan. Bake for about 40 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Brownies will be rich, moist and cake-like. when they cool, cut immediately into 24 regual-size quarters pr 48 bite-size squares. Makes 24 servings.

The original recipe called for 1 Tbls. of cinnamon, but that seemed too much to me. These came out great and no one guessed they had beans in!
