Ingredients

Ingredients:
*Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz Parmesan Cheese, grated, .25 cup
Hunt's No Added Sugar Italian Style Sauce, 1 cup
Mushrooms, canned, .50 cup
Ricotta Cheese, part skim milk,
1 cup Egg, fresh, 1 large
Pepperoni, 25 slice (1-3/8" dia x 1/8" thick) Mozzarella Cheese, whole milk, 1.50 cup, shredded
Directions
Brown ground turkey, add spaghetti sauce & mushrooms, simmer 10 min. set aside.
Line 8x8 baking dish with pepperoni, meanwhile cream ricotta with Italian seasoning & egg till mixed well, add 1/4 cup to the mixture & mix well.
Spread sauce mixture over the pepperoini, smooth ricotta mixutre over the sauce mixture as evenly as possible. Top with Mozzarrella & any remaining pepperoni that did not fit pan. Bake until bubbly fo 25 min. May brown additionaly with Broiler setting. Let cool, & serve.

This sounds good but way too much fat. You could lower calorie by using lower fat ingredients, pepperoni, egg beater, etc.

Low fat cheeses are always useable options. Unfortunately, if you read most packaging or recipes- when you limit sugar/carbs you end up with higher fat. And vs. with the lower fat ones. Did you check how much sugar is in the original? AND I just realize that the Recipe has 1 C. of Egg instead of ONE
